HabitNova keeps your habits private. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and who can see it.

1. On-device data

Your habits, completions, streaks, reminders, and stats are stored locally on your device. None of this leaves your device unless you turn on cloud backup (Section 4).

2. Sign-in

Signing in with Google is required. We receive your email address, display name, profile photo, and a unique user ID, and store them on our servers to identify your account.

3. Purchases

Payment is handled by Apple or Google. We never see your card or bank details. After a successful purchase, our server verifies it with the store and records that your account is a Pro user.

4. Optional cloud backup

Pro users can back up to their own Google Drive in a hidden, app-specific folder that only their device can read. We cannot access the backup contents. Cloud backup is off by default.

5. Advertising

The free version shows a single banner ad provided by Google AdMob. AdMob collects the Advertising Identifier and basic ad-interaction data on its own behalf. On iOS, denying App Tracking Transparency limits AdMob to non-personalised ads. Upgrading to Pro hides the banner.

6. Notifications

Reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely on-device. No notification content is sent through any server.
